Have you ever wondered how top CEO’s become so successful? Do you want to learn the trade secrets to becoming successful? Here’s the thing, there are no secrets. It’s just developing these daily habits that will bring success to your life. Start off by gradually adding these habits into your daily routine and let us know how it’s brought you success!
1. Wake up early
Some of the world’s most successful CEOs contribute their daily success to waking up as early as 4:00 am. Our CEO, Zeeshan Malik, wakes up at 6:00am to get a head start on the day. By waking up early, you are more productive since there are less distractions in the early hours, and it gives you the extra time to exercise and have a healthy breakfast.
2. Read Extensively
Whether its reading for pleasure or gaining insights on your industry, by spending at least 30 minutes a day reading, you are increasing your knowledge and learning from other’s experiences.
Reading also has huge health benefits such as reducing stress and increasing overall confidence and life satisfaction. Our HR Coordinator Lisa Robson, reads psychology and neuroscience books as a part of her nighttime routine. One of her favourite books is The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat by Neurologists Oliver Sacks.
3. Exercise
Try to make exercise a priority in the morning because a Harvard study shows that exercising has cognitive benefits such as improved concentration, a sharper memory, enhanced creativity, and will make you a faster learner.
Exercising also has physical benefits. It reduces stress, lowers the risk of chronic diseases, improves your immune system, and evaluates your mood. Our HR Coordinator hits the gym 5 times a week! How many times a week do you exercise?
4. Begin the day with a purpose
Every morning set a clear vision of what you wish to accomplish that day. By having a specific purpose each day, you are more likely to accomplish and check off your to-do list rather than ending the day feeling frustrated and unaccomplished. Is there something you’ve been wanting to accomplish but it never seems to get done?
Try setting it as your purpose of the day.
4. Surround yourself with positive people who inspire you
Ever heard of the quote: “Who you surround yourself with, is who you become”? Those who you surround yourself with will impact your moods, your actions, and how you view the world. It’s important to surround yourself with positive people. If you have a certain goal or dream, surround yourself with people who share it, so together you can inspire each other to achieve it.
If you want to be successful, surround yourself with already successful people because you can learn from them and be inspired to become them.
6. Seek new experience and expand your knowledge
By getting out of your comfort zone and seeking new experiences, you can learn new things and expand on your previous knowledge. Our very own Accounting Specialist, Tehreem Fatima is currently undertaking Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) in order to expand her knowledge on Canadian Payroll rules and regulations that will benefit the employer and the employee.
Learning something new can benefit all aspects of your life – professionally and personally. Successful people know the importance of learning and expanding their knowledge.
